Skyjo is a popular and easy-to-learn card game that combines strategy and luck. The game revolves around cleverly trading cards and limiting your penalty points.

π― Objective of the game
Each player has 12 cards laid out face up and face down in a 3Γ4 grid. By drawing, trading, and strategically revealing cards, you try to avoid high cards and collect low (or negative) cards. The game ends when a player reaches 100 points; the player with the lowest total score wins.

Type of game

π Rules of the game
PREPARATION
1. Shuffle all the cards.
2. Place the cards face down on the table as the draw pile.
3. Turn over the top card and place it face up as the discard pile.
4. Each player receives 12 cards.
Place the cards face down in a 3 x 4 grid in front of you.
START OF THE GAME
Each player turns over two cards from their grid.
The player with the highest visible value starts.
GAME PLAY
Players take turns clockwise.
During your turn, choose one of the following actions.
1. CARD FROM THE DRAW PILE Take the top card from the draw pile.
Then choose:
β swap the card with a card from your grid or
β discard the card.
If you discard the card, you must turn over one card from your grid.
2. CARD FROM THE DUMP STACK Take the top card from the dump stack.
You must exchange this card with a card from your grid.
REMOVING COLUMNS
If you have three cards with the same value in one column, you may remove that column. The cards are removed from the game.
END OF A ROUND
The round ends when one player has all their cards face up. All other players get one last turn. Then all players turn their remaining cards face up.
SCORING
Add up all the values of your cards. If the player who ended the round does not have the lowest score, their score is doubled.
END OF THE GAME
The game continues with new rounds until one player has 100 points or more. The player with the fewest points wins the game.
