Wizard is a strategic card game in which players try to predict how many tricks they will win in a round. At the beginning of each round, each player makes a prediction (bid). Then cards are played and players try to win exactly the number of tricks they predicted. Special cards such as wizards and jesters provide surprising twists during the game.

The goal of Wizard is to collect as many points as possible by predicting and winning the correct number of strokes.

Wizard is suitable for young people and adults who enjoy strategy and card games. The game is usually recommended for ages 10 and up.

Minimum: 3 players
Maximum: 6 players
Type of game
🍀 Luck: 🔴🔴🔴⚪⚪ The cards you receive are random, so luck plays a role.
💣 Risk: 🔴🔴🔴⚪⚪ If your prediction of the number of tricks is incorrect, you lose points. This requires players to assess risks.
🧠 Tactics: 🔴🔴🔴🔴⚪ Players must think carefully about their prediction and when to play strong or weak cards.
📖 Rules of the game
PREPARATION
1. Shuffle all cards.
2. Choose a dealer.
3. The game is played in multiple rounds.
In each round, each player receives one more card than in the previous round.
Round 1: 1 card
Round 2: 2 cards
Round 3: 3 cards, and so on.
START OF A ROUND
1. The dealer deals the correct number of cards.
2. The next card from the deck is turned face up.
The suit of this card determines the trump suit.
If it is a Wizard: The dealer chooses the trump suit.
If it is a Jester: There is no trump suit.
PREDICTIONS
Before the round begins, each player predicts how many tricks they think they will win.
The predictions are written down.
The sum of all predictions may not equal the total number of tricks in that round.
GAME PLAY
Players play a trick.
1. The starting player plays a card.
2. Other players must follow suit if they have it.
If a player does not have that suit, they may play any card.
SPECIAL CARDS
Wizard: Always wins the trick.
Jester: Always loses the trick, unless all players play a Jester.
END OF A ROUND
When all cards have been played, players count how many tricks they have won.
SCORING
If the prediction is correct: 20 points + 10 points per trick won.
Example: Prediction 3 and 3 tricks won = 50 points.
If the prediction is incorrect: -10 points per difference between prediction and result.
END OF THE GAME
The game ends after the last round. The player with the most points wins.
