Walking your dog
Discover the beautiful surroundings of Willemstad together with your dog
.
Within the fortified town, dogs must be kept on a leash in built-up areas. However, Het Willemshuis borders the ramparts where dogs are allowed to run free! Dogs are also allowed to run free on the protective embankments outside the dykes. There are also several places where dogs can enjoy a swim. Dog owners are required to clean up after their dogs, and there are plenty of trash cans available.
View this map for an overview of the off-leash areas. View a photo impression of the walking route on the outer dike protection wall here.
